GBP Direct recently had the honor of completing a large-scale dormitory installation for Dillard University’s newest residence hall, providing over 245 students with fully furnished, move-in-ready rooms. This exciting project showcased our team’s ability to collaborate, plan, and execute under a tight schedule while maintaining the highest safety standards throughout the process.
From the earliest planning phases, our design team worked closely with Dillard University representatives, the architect, and other key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive furnishing solution tailored to the needs of modern student living. Our concept was reviewed and presented with attention to detail, ensuring alignment with both aesthetic goals and functional requirements.
The scope of the project included:
- 245 student beds with mattresses
- Desks and wardrobes
- Student seating
- Shower stools
- Under-bed chests for convenient storage
Once approved, our project managers and installation team stepped into action. Over the course of the install, we received and unloaded multiple 18-wheelers on-site, carefully managing the logistics of product flow. Our crew organized, stored, unboxed, and assembled each piece of furniture, fully setting up every student room with efficiency and precision.
Throughout the installation, strict safety protocols were followed, and our team operated with professionalism and coordination to keep the jobsite secure, clean, and on track while working amongst other contractors.
